CORPORATE MATCH RACING

 

Teamwork determines the outcome in a yacht race, just as it does on the work floor. A skipper or CEO can be very skilful and tactically brilliant, but if his/her crew is not able or willing to follow, not much will be achieved.

Teambuilding in the confined environment of a yacht has proven to be very successful and AusSea Sailing School offers boat-based training and programs to bond any board, sales team or group of colleagues. Through various regattas, from match races to treasure hunts, the instructors of AusSea Sailing School – all state and national champion in various classes – will bring teams closer together in a competitive spirit, while having fun and enjoying a great day on the waters of Kogarah Bay and Botany Bay.

So it’s time to get out of the office and catch some fresh, salty air! Half day or full day programs are available, for small to medium sized teams (4-30 people).

Corporate Days include:
  • Introduction by AusSea Sailing School principal
  • Safety and weather briefing
  • Course orientation
  • Safety briefing on board by YA qualified instructor
  • Intro sail to learn the basics and to get used to the boats
  • Practice race and various drills
  • Gourmet lunch on the dock or on board (only with full day program)
  • Start of the regatta (2 to 4 races in America’s Cup format)
  • Optional prize giving presentation and wind down drink on our deck
